Setting up Employees for Success

New employees are getting an orientation, whether you have a formal program or not. However, they may not be getting the orientation that sets them (or your company, for that matter) up for success. If employees are confused, overwhelmed or feeling ignored, it is unlikely they will become as engaged and productive as we would like. We know how expensive (and sometimes frustrating) it is to find, train, and replace employees.

Simply handing a handbook to new employees is NOT orientation. A focus on welcoming, integrating, and smoothing the transition for new hires sets the stage for retention and high performance and is well worth the effort.
