About Jan Baker
Jan Baker, company founder, has a teaching and human resource management background; she earned her Masters in Teaching from Emory University, was a STAR Teacher in the Atlanta Public Schools and a Volunteer Instructor of the Year for Central Oregon Community College. Jan holds certifications in the Art of Facilitation and Total Quality Management and is a certified administrator of PREP™ Personal Strengths Profile System.
Jan is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Human Resource Association of Central Oregon. She has been honored with The Governor's Volunteerism Award and named as Central Oregon Business Builders' Outstanding Team Player as well as the 2003 Central Oregon Human Resource Professional of the Year. Committed to her community, Jan facilitated the Bend 2030 Vision Task Force, a community group that developed and will steward the city's community vision for the year 2030.
Jan's areas of expertise and special interest include facilitation, conflict management, personality style based team development, and leadership skills development.
About Nancy Obymako
Nancy Obymako, PHR, brings a perspective honed by years of management and administrative experience. Her strategic yet practical approach encompasses a background in guest service, marketing, and operations. Nancy earned a degree in Business Management from Linfield College; she holds a Professional in Human Resources Certification and is also a certified administrator of the PREP™ Profile System.
A member of the Society for Human Resource Management, Nancy is Past President of the Human Resource Association of Central Oregon. She has taught Human Resource Management at Central Oregon Community College and is a former volunteer facilitator for Opportunity Knocks. Nancy currently serves the small business problem solving group as an OK advocate and is a long term Board member, as well as Past President of the SAVING GRACE Board of Directors.
Nancy provides expertise in training, legal compliance, and policy development within the context of sound business practices. Her special interests include effective hiring, supervisor and management training, organizational culture, and Board governance and development.
